If your mattress protector is starting to show signs of wear and tear, it’s important to clean it on a regular basis.
Because a mattress protector helps to keep your mattress clean and free of dust mites, which can trigger allergies. If it gets dusty, it will not be able to do its job properly.

How often should you clean it?
Well, that depends on how often you use it and how dirty it gets. If you have a pet, for example, you might need to clean it more often.
But for most cases, 3 weeks should be fine. Or you can just clean it whenever you change your sheets.
Here are some tips on how to wash mattress protector:
– Check the care label first. Some mattress protectors can only be spot-cleaned, while others are machine-washable.
– If it’s machine-washable, set the washing machine to a gentle cycle and use cool water.
– Add a mild detergent and avoid using fabric softener, as this can make the fabric less effective.
– If spot-cleaning is required, make a solution of 1 part water and 1 part vinegar. Apply it to the stain with a clean cloth and blot dry.

2. Vacuum the mattress protector using the upholstery attachment on your vacuum cleaner. How? Just put the vacuum cleaner on the floor, then put the mattress protector over it and vacuum.
3. Spot clean any areas of the mattress protector that are stained or soiled. Use a mild detergent and a soft cloth or brush to gently scrub the affected areas. We recommend a few brands of mild detergent for you: Woolite, Tide Free & Gentle, and Seventh Generation Free & Clear.
